Markus W. and Dante traveled to Gitwinksilkhw today, not only to experience being on the suspended bridge, but to also participate in a special lunch at WWNI. They met with their former music teacher, Jeremy Sheeshka, along with Deanna Nyce, Art Azak, Joe Rhodes and others to hear a presentation by Anita Prest. Mr. Sheeshka and his music class at AAMES took part in a research project with UBC. Dr. Prest’s research was conducted on ” Bringing Indigenous Music into the classroom”. She and her research team have since completed their “work” and presented it to WWNI, today, on Thursday April 18 between 11:30 – 1:00.
